Heather-Ann Schaeffner The Corner News published November 9, 2008 An 8 year old boy from Arizona is being charged with premeditated murder on two counts after fatally shooting his single father and another adult man who lived with the boy and worked with the father. Arizona state law says that anyone 8 or older may be charged with a crime, prosecutors are trying to approach this delicate issues from all angles. The boy has been interviewed by psychologists and child welfare counselors on the one hand; while on the other the prosecutors are filing motions to try the boy as an adult. One body was found upstairs and the other just outside the front door. The family priest says the 29 year old father had sought consultation with the priest over teaching his son about guns. The pair of men were shot with a .22 caliber rifle. |
