Exploding hens

Hens on a free range farm in Herefordshire, England are dying of mysterious causes. Over thirty hens have died, post mortems were performed on two and a veterinarian deduced the cause of death. Scores of hot air balloons and low flying aircraft overhead were freaking the chickens out, causing them to run wildly about, crashing into things. This, in turn, causes their eggs to explode inside them. The fragments infect their insides and they die a horrible painful death. So far no word on what the farmer plans to do about it.
