The first time I saw Sarah Palin I knew it would only be a matter of time until “Saturday Night Live” brought Tina Fey back to do a parody. They couldn’t have asked for a better look-a-like. But you have to see it to really appreciate it. Fey, along with Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton, doesn’t get much better than this.

MySpace is hosting a nationwide competition called the “Ultimate College Bowl.” Whichever college university can register the most voters wins a campus concert from Death Cab for Cutie. Other prizes include $10,000 in scholarship money and Guitar Hero 2.

Michael Phelps returns to tank at Sea World

With all of the medals he’s won, you may actually believe that Olympican swimmer Michael Phelps lives in the water. Check out this write-up in The Onion which claims, “Phelps, the 6’4”, 200-pound aquatic mammal, and the first ever SeaWorld swimmer to be raised in captivity by foster swimmers (Mark Spitz and Dara Torres), was recaptured by trainer Bob Bowman in a hoop net baited with an entire Dutch apple pie following Phelps’ final Olympic event last Sunday.”

Stamos obsession

This was too funny, I had to share. There is a huge John Stamos fan that is raising money to attend his birthday party. The guy is obsessed with Stamos, which he claims is “platonic,” he knows every “Full House” episode by heart and can air drum to “Kokomo.” He has a friend that was invited to Stamos’s birthday party and wants to tag along but doesn’t have the $518 for a plane ticket. His cousin set up a site to raise money for him, and people are actually donating!

A new campaign ad from John McCain bashes Obama saying that he’s only a celebrity and comparing him to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton just released a video in response to McCain’s statement. It’s actually pretty funny. She obviously had nothing to do with the script because I’m sure she has no idea what she’s talking about, but she pulls it off pretty well:

“Dexter” season 3 preview

Season three of Showtime’s “Dexter” premieres Sunday, Sept. 28. If you haven’t been keeping up with this show, which has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, you should be.
