Uncle Roy took the stage at the Olde Auburn Ale House on Thursday night to premiere his newest band, The Bumbles.
Uncle Roy, Roy Schultz, took the stage at the Olde Auburn Ale House on Thursday night to premiere his newest band,The Bumbles.
Uncle Roy, Dave Burke, lead guitar player, and Micah Reuber, bass player, joined with Uncle Roy to form an impressive soul and rock ‘n’ roll trio.
Uncle Roy, drummer, singer, harmonica player and star of The Uncle Roy Show,
captivated the audience with his soulful covers of old rock ‘n’ roll favorites, such as “Little Egypt.”
At Uncle Roy’s count off, the trio took turns singing lead and harmonizing to a variety of rock ‘n’ roll covers and Uncle Roy’s originals to the audience.
Uncle Roy sang, played harmonica, and played drums to his originals such as “Pirates Dream,” and “Twang Thang.”
Uncle Roy, former member of Freddy Fender’s band, has recently released his third CD to celebrate his 60th birthday. The 12 song CD features the Good Doctor, Kenny Brown, Austin Gray and other notable musicians.
The Bumbles will be playing at the Auburn Ale House again on Oct. 27.
