After a five year hiatus, anticipation for the No Doubt tour was off the charts. On June 5th the tour made a stop at Aaron’s Amphitheatre in Atlanta.

On the bill opening for No Doubt is a band with an identical member line up, Paramore, a young group who first hit the scene in 2004. Hayley Williams, Josh Farro, Jeremy Davis, Zac Farro and Taylor York recently wrapped up recording the follow-up to the immensely popular 2007 album “Riot!”

Paramore’s took the stage with the song “Misery Business.” Williams’ vocals were amazingly strong. Paramore performed songs off their upcoming record, giving fans an advance preview. Other songs performed were mostly tracks from “Riot!” including hit singles “That’s What You Get,” “Crush, Crush, Crush,” “For a Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic,” and from the album “All We Know is Falling,” “Pressure.” The band wrapped the set with a live performance of “Decode” from the movie “Twilight.”

As Paramore made their way off the stage, it was time to wait, but it wasn’t long before the lights dimmed and one by one, four shadows appeared on a white curtain surrounding the stage. The curtain drops and there was No Doubt: Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal, and Adrian Young, ready to rock out. With an all white stage design, the immense screen backdrop was the colorful contrast that showed various images of the band. With a vast amount of songs to choose from, they performed many of their massively popular hits like “It’s My Life,” “Just a Girl,” “Hey, Baby,” “Hella Good,” “Underneath It All,” “Ex-Girlfriend” and many more. The overly positive energy and enthusiasm on stage was through the roof and an amazing time was had by everyone in the crowd. The night was made even more memorable for the two fans that Stefani invited up on stage.

The night ended on a high note as it seems everyone was screaming or cheering as loud as possible for an encore performance.
