Last Saturday night the Dave Matthews Tribute Band, hailing from Chattanooga, Tenn., paid a visit to SkyBar. Ryan Clifford, the lead vocalist, had a voice reminiscent of Matthews himself, while drummer Bennie Montgomery, base player Lee Vacaro, violinist Nate Demana, and Chris Whiteley on woodwinds brought variety to Auburn. The guys played all the favorites including Ants Marching, Crash, Stay and even Grey Street, leading listeners to sing along.
Even with the sing-along, there were not many folks paying attention to the band, at first. But by the end of the evening, however, the DMB tribute developed quite the gathering.

At times some instruments overpowered the vocalist, but to no fault of the band.

Overall, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band was energetic and bluesy, offering Auburn a taste of DMB. Perhaps when they drop back by the band will draw the audience they deserve.
