Jarrod Harris will perform at Halftime on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Comedian Jarrod Harris will take the stage at Halftime in downtown Auburn this week. The comedian has been featured on TBS’ “Lopez Tonight,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and is the co-writer of the popular YouTube channel “Action Figure Therapy.”
The event will be hosted by Anthony Dannar from the Antishow Show on Tiger 93.9 FM. Dannar also booked the comedian, who he says is one of the most popular comedians to perform in the area. Dannar, a comedian himself who hosts comedy shows in the area, was performing in Atlanta when the host of that show told him he knew Harris and could help him book him in Auburn.
“I got super excited about that!” Dannar said.
Harris is originally from Atlanta and now lives and performs in Los Angeles. Dannar said he would describe Harris’ comedy as sarcastic.
“He’s kind of a sarcastic, goofy kind of comedian,” Dannar said. “One of my favorite jokes that he does is he talks about Southwest Airlines and he talks about how ghetto it is and he’s like, ‘My airplane had a bike rack.’ It’s just funny stuff like that he throws in there.”
Jarrod Harris will perform at Halftime on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door, but Dannar suggests purchasing tickets in advance at Halftime because seating is limited. The show begins at 9 p.m. and opens with additional comedians that include Kevin Saucier of Mobile and Ben Evans, host of the Laughing Skull in Atlanta.
