A man walking his dog in a California federal park was tased and arrested by a park ranger who accused him of not putting a leash on his dog and giving a false name.
This might seem like excessive force, but lying to a park ranger in a federal park is a taserable offense. You can read all the taserable offenses in the new law enforcement handbook, "Do tase me,bro"

Unfortunately, wearing a Hawaiian shirt is taserable.
The man allegedly refused to provide the ranger with I.D. and to remain at the scene so the ranger felt the only course of action was to tase him.
Look, I’m glad law enforcement and park rangers are using their stun guns instead of their real guns, but maybe too many people are getting tased over trivial offenses.

"Sir, I must warn you! I really want to use this thing!"
By the way, Why do park rangers have stun guns? Is there a mutant raccoon problem in the parks I don’t know about? How about whistles? Just give all the park rangers whistles so they can signal for help when they need it. OR better yet, equip park rangers with cell-phones so they can call the real police.
