Lolypops gifts is a trendy gift boutique new to the Auburn area. The store opened on Aug. 3rd in the Ogletree shopping center off Moores Mill Road.
Lauren Koen’s lifetime dream was to own an accessory and gift shop.

Recently Koen decided to make that dream a reality when she opened Lolypops and took a chance at going from a stay at home mother of three to a business owner.

Lolypops sells gifts for any occasion, fashionable jewelry, home accessories, and a selection of Auburn and Alabama designs and canvases.
Gift prices range from $5 to $50 and with the holidays around the corner inventory is arriving daily.

Koen’s background in retail began at Blooming Colors in Auburn. She worked for the retail garden center for three years before she became a stay at home mom. She credits all of her retail experience to Blooming Colors.

“I have always wanted to own a store that was themed around trendy gifts for babies, teens, ladies and men,” said Koen. “I was a stay at home mom for six years and needed a change in direction; what better way to do that than open my store.”

Saturdays at Lolypops are designated as “Spa Day Saturday” for girls 13 and younger. Spa packages range from $12 to $18 and include a mini manicure and pedicure and a bag of candy.

“I wanted to offer something special to young girls that was not offered anywhere else in the area,” said Koen.

Lolypops also features gifts for men such as camouflage cozies, hand painted pilsners and hunting and fishing accessories.

Another aspect exclusive to Lolypops is design your own crib bedding. Customers can choose from a variety of styles and design the perfect bedding for their baby.

“My husband calls me Loly. It is a nickname he gave me in high school and it has stuck with me through the years. I automatically knew it was the perfect name for my store,” said Koen.

Lolypops features gifts and jewelry for all ages. Trendy watches, hand painted wine glasses, aprons, picture frames and baby accessories are just a few of the popular items sold at Lolypops.

Lolypops is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
