Paris Luna has had songs played on popular TV shows, including “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” and “The Real World.” Check them out at the Ale House Saturday.
After six years on the road, Paris Luna could easily be counted among the serious road warriors. Since forming in Carrolton, Ga., not far over the Alabama line, the folk-tinged rock 'n' roll group has toured nationally, playing venues as far away as New York and St. Louis, among others.
Currently fresh back from the band's performance at the famed South by Southwest festival - a festival which it debuted at in 2007 - the group is playing a number of shows around Western Georgia.
As a group, Paris Luna has put out one record, "City Lights," on indie label Severe Records in 2007, which features the group's hit single "Having a Hard Time." A handful of the group's other songs from the album have been featured on major TV shows, including "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," and "The Real World," as well as features on channels such as Lifetime, Showtime and E!.
Following the group's two year hiatus, during which lead signer, Heather Russell, aka Paris Luna, and drummer Kane Russell (who has also previously toured with Zac Brown) welcomed their two children into the world, the group went straight back to work.
In May the group will be retreating to Nashville to begin work on a new record, which they have already hinted will feature more traditional country influences, while still containing a fair amount of rock 'n' roll.
Paris Luna will be performing at the Ale House on Saturday, April 9. Drop by
