With an Ovation guitar and a crowd of friends and Saturday night bar hoppers, Marshall Underwood took the stage at the Olde Auburn Ale House to entertain his audience.

Underwood performed a variety of classic rock covers such as “Ballad of Curtis Lowe,” and “House of the Rising Sun.”

Underwood didn’t hesitate to perform any song the audience requested. He played a variety of covers that kept the audience guessing what was next.

Underwood says his favorite part of playing music is being able to put his own twist on everything. Underwood performed his own version of “Fireflies,” by Owl City, which was a crowd favorite. However, his cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel,” was the most popular song of the night.

Underwood has been playing music for 14 years. Besides playing guitar, Underwood writes his own songs and performs them every once in awhile when “the crowd is right.”

Underwood enjoys playing music anywhere where he can. Currently, Underwood has nothing musically scheduled in the Auburn area. Recently graduated from Auburn University, Underwood is pursuing a career, but hopes to keep music a big part of his life.
