Standouts - “Dream of F****** A D-Boy,” “Why,” “The Queen”

After a six year hiatus rap’s original nasty girl returns with her fourth album, “Brooklyn’s Don Diva.” While listening to the album I was trying to come up with a clever way to say that the album, as a whole, sucks. Aside from a few gems, emphasis on few, the CD leaves a lot to be desired. Lyrically, Brown seems to have regressed and the lackluster production on the disc only magnifies that fact. I’m a firm believer in the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality, but ‘Brooklyn’s Don Diva’ seems to be stuck in 1999 and doesn’t realize that time has passed her by.
