Celebrity Garbage
Kyle Bronson For The Corner News published January 30, 2008
We still don’t know exactly what happened, but a great actor is gone. A few weeks ago, I reported a story in which Janice Dickinson claimed that Sylvester Stallone injected her with steroids back in the day when they were apparently dating. It’s okay, the bad taste that left in your mouth isn’t permanent. “Star Magazine” is reporting that Angelina Jolie is knocked up with twins! Good googley moogley, don’t be surprised if she comes out with a line of clothing, because she’ll have enough little scamps to open up a bona-fide sweatshop. This would bring their grand total to six children. Maybe they’re building an army? So apparently, Britney showed up at a Beverly Hills elementary school looking to pick up some children. Not hers. Just some children. An eye witness said, “She was just rambling and confused. She said, ‘I’m here to pick up my kids.’ But then she changed her story and said, ‘They aren’t my kids; I have a new attorney, and I came to pick them up for her.’ ” When school finally let out, Brit Brat started causing a commotion making some of the kids freak out. Before driving off, Britney told the witness, “You’re so nice. You should give me your number. I don’t have very many friends.” Really? What about her multiple personalities? I always imagined her having tea parties and playing all the guests herself. Finally, in truly tragic news, we lost Heath Ledger last week. He was found dead on Tuesday afternoon in his downtown Manhattan residence. We still don’t know exactly why he died, an autopsy was performed but was inconclusive. Various reports claim he was sick with pneumonia, that it was an accidental overdose of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, etc. Whenever a truly talented celebrity dies, people wonder why those who never knew the departed are saddened by their passing. The fact is, celebrities are a part of all our lives, like watching characters in a movie. We watch them grow and evolve and we connect with them, we see a little of ourselves or a little of our loved ones in them. When one of these characters die, it can hit as hard as having a loved one perish. Heath Ledger was one of them, he was special. We watched him grow from a teen heartthrob into one of the finest actors of his generation. There’s nothing that I can say that hasn’t already been said. He will be missed. |
