Auburn Delivery Now is bringing speedy delivery to college students, businesses and families. Since its opening in June, Auburn Delivery Now has been delivering meals to customers with too little time to enjoy a meal at home or at a sit-down restaurant.
After graduating from Auburn University, Bryan Cotney, owner of Auburn Delivery Now, went to Aspen, Col o. It was while in Aspen that he met a man who owned a similar business. Cotney thought that a delivery service would do well in Auburn where students are too busy to stop and eat a meal.
Cindy Kaylor, director of marketing and sales for Auburn Delivery Now, said that they provide food for “Anybody and everybody who’s hungry.”
Auburn Delivery Now is an ideal service for those who can’t leave the office in the middle of the day to pick up a lunch order or parents who are too tired to cook after a day at work, said Kaylor.
Auburn Delivery Now delivers food from restaurants that usually don’t make deliveries. Customers place their order by phone with Auburn Delivery Now who will in turn call the order in to the restaurant. An Auburn Delivery Now driver will then pick up the order and pay for it up front. Once the food is delivered, the customer pays for both the meal and the delivery charge.
The delivery fee is between $5 and $25. After the delivery fee exceeds $25 the charge becomes 20 percent of the cost of the order. The minimum cost of an order is $10.
Auburn Delivery Now delivers food from Acapulco’s, Christine’s Gourmet, Johnny Brusco’s, Juliana Tokyo, Momma Goldberg’s and more. They have menus of all participating restaurants online at
auburndeliverynow.com. To place an order, call 334.502.2929.
Auburn Delivery Now hopes to branch out and eventually offer delivery from dry cleaners and florists in addition to restaurants. It is currently working with possible vendors to extend its services.
