With a new coach, the Auburn Tigers are ready for a change and great spring season. The Tigers have not made it to the SEC Tournament in five years, but this year the Tigers hope to put a stop to that.

In early June, John Pawlowski, former coach for the College of Charleston, was hired to be the new Auburn baseball head coach. Bringing with him several of his previous assistant coaches, Pawlowski has big plans for the Auburn baseball program. Pawlowski also held positions at Clemson University and Arizona State University. Before his coaching career, he played major league baseball for the White Sox.

In addition to the new coach, the team is preparing for the spring season by playing summer ball in various leagues around the country and working out daily.

Seven Auburn players were drafted, including Mike Bianucci, Matt Hall and Luke Greinke, who were some of the first to go. Only a few of the new recruits were affected by this. As for how the draft will affect the team, we will just have to wait and watch how the Tigers play this coming season.
