With his 25th studio album, creepy shock rocker Alice Cooper has crafted a concept album about a serial killer named Spider, a reoccurring character which some of his diehard fans may recognize from some of his earlier material. And while it’s more common to see Cooper on the golf links these days, Cooper still knows the recipe for the macabre. Many times the album feels forced, but the kitsch factor is pretty expected with a Cooper record, so it’s pretty easy to excuse. Listen for some guest performances by Slash and vocals by an aging Ozzy.
