Taylor Swift, that precocious 18-year-old Music Row starlet, is back with “Fearless,” a powerful second album. It contains 13 tracks of pop-country influenced tunes about mature breakups (“Always and Forever,” chronicles her break-up with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers) and big dreams. Swift should be applauded for writing the bulk of the material on the album, a rarity on Music Row. Not much on the album is truly ‘country,’ but again that’s not a rarity on Music Row. Overall, the album is a wonderful step towards crossover renown.
