Sting “Symphonicities”
Standouts - “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” “I Hung My Head,” “You Will Be My Ain True Love”

Sting is well known for re-workings of his expansive songbook (remember the lute?), and on “Symphonicities,” the Police frontman reimagines his biggest, career spanning tunes as symphonic numbers. Always the marketer, the album was recorded as a companion piece to his current tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. All in all, the album is sure to be a success with most of Sting’s loyal army of fans, many of the once intimate tunes seem strangely out of place when timpani rolls are added.
