Standouts - “Release,” “I Believe In You,” “Vacation Rain”

Before listening to the seventh studio album by the 90’s acoustic hit-makers, it is easy to be misled that the album is some sort of contractual fluff; the cover is, after all, a simple black and white band photo with the title, “Release,” printed underneath. But in reality, the group’s egalitarian outlook has led to an album, on which each of the band members contribute their own songs to the group. There is nothing amazing about this album, but nevertheless, the simplicity and reliant sound should make it appealing to old fans.
