On her latest release, the Latin diva takes a dive into the world of electronic pop music. The transformation seems to suit her well, as she’s able to infuse her ridiculously addictive harmonies, and just-plain, oddball lyrics, into hopeful dance floor favorites. Coming in at just over 30 minutes, Shakira really cuts the fat off of this one in hopes that the high energy tunes will make up for the brevity.
Although she produced much of the album herself, she also had some help from Wyclef Jean and Pharrell Williams, who co-wrote many of the tracks.
