Neil Young “Fork In the Road”
Standout Tracks - “Fuel Line,” “Johnny Magic,” “Fork in the Road”
Neil Young has written a lot of songs about cars, so it seems only fitting that he’d finally dedicate an album to his beloved Lincvolt, a revamped 1959 Lincoln Continental that runs on eco-friendly materials. “Fork in the Road” is a grungy, clunker of an album about as heavy as the cars Young is singing about, with a youthful vigor that makes one wonder if it wasn’t actually recorded in a garage. Coming in at a little under 40 minutes, the album is political at heart, somewhat hastily constructed, but completely solid.
