Their aren’t many hip-hop artists that can claim to be the greatest of all time, but in the case of LL Cool J it just may be true. After 25 years and 13 albums, LL still sounds as hungry as he was in 1985 when he busted onto the scene with “Radio.” Although his latest project, “Exit 13,” isn’t nearly as great as that album, it’s a decent offering. Some of the production seems simple and watered down, which is in stark contrast to the complexity of some of LL’s lyrics. If not for some lackluster production, “Exit 13” would be excellent, but instead it falls short of what we’ve come to expect from LL Cool J.
