When trying to describe Lil Wayne’s latest project, “Rebirth,” all I could come up with is one word, two syllables ... Gar-bage. I’m all for artists experimenting and expanding there bounds, but this isn’t what you strive for when recording a concept album. The sad thing is somewhere among some pretty decent rock tracks and the auto tune is a rapper who is at the top of his game. Aside from Mos Def and Outkast, technically Andre 3000, most concept albums by rappers don’t work and this one joins a long line of failures.
