“Not 4 Sale”

Kardinal Offishall “Not 4 Sale”
Standouts - “Dangerous,” “Set it Off,” “Bad Like We,” “Numba 1,” “Lighter”

Outside of his native country of Canada, not a lot of people are familiar with Kardinal Offishall. But he hopes to change that with the release of his third CD, “Not 4 Sale.” Hailed as one of the greatest rappers and producers north of the border, Offishall hooked up with Akon to bring his reggae/hip-hop blend to the mainstream. The album at its core is hip-hop, but Offishall’s Caribbean roots can be heard throughout the disc. As a matter of fact, the album’s second single “Numba 1” is a slick dancehall infused version of The Paragons 1967 classic “The Tide is High.” This is a solid disc that has you hooked the minute you hit play.
