What do you get when you pair one of the most underrated MCs and one of the best lyricists in the game? You get Redman and Method Man’s second CD, “Blackout! 2.” It’s been almost 10 years since the duo released their first collaborative CD, “Blackout!,” but all of the things that made their first CD great are the same things that make this one great. It’s like the best of both worlds on the disc. It’s a dope MC and lyricist going back and forth on some of the grittiest beats I’ve heard in a while. If you’re a true fan of hip-hop, “Blackout 2!” is a must-have.
