So while we(most of us that is) enjoyed a day off in observation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday I got to thinking of how many people have actually heard the entire "I Have A Dream" speech? We've all heard the last quarter or eighth of the speech... you know the part that goes: "...This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring.
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania..."
So just in case you've never heard or read the entire text of Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech here it is for your listening enjoyment. Of course I've added some accompaniments (music) to it. Not because I felt it needed it but frankly to keep your attention.
