Ok so I can't remember the last time that Toomer's Corner has been rolled so much (actually that's not true, I was around for the 2004 season), but it sure has gotten a work out this year. It seems like every Saturday (technically it was every Saturday), the occasional Sunday; like the first time we were voted #1 and the random weekday (most recently the NCAA declaring Cam eligible to play) Toomer's was being rolled.
Now the severity or degree to which it was rolled was determined by the magnitude of the game or, in Saturday's case, the award. While I was in town for the post Iron Bowl celebration I pulled up The Corner's web cam and well, let's just say it was pandemonium. While this past Saturday didn't rival the sheer magnitude of tissue/people on Toomer's, it seemed to have a whole different meaning behind it.
Seeing as how it's been 25 years since Auburn has had a Heisman Trophy winner, the crowd of people on Toomer's Saturday showed their exuberance and excitement for what the football season has already been by showing support for their embattled quarterback and newly name Heisman Trophy winner. Here are few pics from Saturday night.
