Watching “Heroes” last night I caught a glimpse of 2 of ABC’s new reality series, and I could not believe my eyes.  In light of the writer’s strike, a beloved favorite show of my childhood (I confess I sometimes watch reruns on ESPN Classic) “American Gladiators” has been revamped with shinier commercials and beefcakes who are more even ‘roided out than the originals.  I hope to God they don’t try to bring back the same characters.  Can we say defamation for Turbo and Nitro and Blaze?  And NBC will soon be offering up “Clash of the Choirs,“ which has possibly the worst premise of any series in reality TV history.    If the cheap ass TV giants don’t concede to pay their writers soon maybe, just maybe, we’ll all have to start reading. Ahhh!!!!
